Okay, so a perfectly nice girl that I’m friends with on Facebook made a status today that said something along the lines of…”Stop being so hard on Chris Brown, his music is good, Rihanna’s over so why aren’t we?” I won’t quote it directly for her sake.

And I had to restrain myself from yelling at her via the Internet.

So lemme vent here.

1. Yes, Chris Brown deserves to be forgiven—in my opinion. Everyone deserves a second chance and all that. HOWEVER THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR WHAT HE DID AND I WOULD REALLY PREFER IT IF YOUR STATUS DID NOT IMPLY THAT HIS MUSIC IS GOOD ENOUGH TO MAKE UP FOR THE FACT THAT HE SEVERELY BEAT A WOMAN. Forgive. But do not fucking forget.
2. I don’t think you’ve read the police report.
3. READ THE POLICE REPORT.
4. He needs to stop being an arrogant prick all over Twitter.
5. This entire situation should have been handled with much more care.
6. And his punishment should have been a hell of a lot worse.
